I love bread, pasta, and cakes.

Who doesn’t?

But one day, I decided to get in better shape as I was headed to the Florida Keys with a bunch of 7th graders and didn’t want them to laugh at me when we went snorkeling.

So I just cut out all white flour and pasta.

The results were nothing short of amazing.

I dropped one or two pounds every week without changing anything else. The truth is that white flour is processed so fast by the body that it isn’t sure what to do with the calories so, surprise! they get stored as fat.

Also, eating these bad carbs will cause a spike in your blood sugar level resulting in you suddenly becoming hungry again a few minutes later. This of course leads to overeating and more fat.

So if you struggle to lose weight, try cutting out all breads and pasta and be prepared for a new you in a few months!

  1. I enjoyed your post. The food industry has lied to people for so long.
    WHOLE WHEAT bread is suppose to be just fine for you. In reality,
    it is just as bad as white bread. It has a little more fiber but this
    does not make up in any amount for the harm the bread does to your
    blood sugar, cholesterol readings, gastric system. About 2 yrs ago
    I went off all bread for about 2 months and was able to get into
    some clothes that had been hanging in the closet FOREVER. But
    then I slowly slipped back into the bread world. I started again
    about a week ago and already I feel a difference in my stomach and
    also feel so much better in general. I feel bad for people who try and try
    to lose weight and all they really have to do is give up bread. and cut way
    back on pasta and rice. ..
    People and doctors need to get wise to this.
    I plan to stay on my no bread diet forever. Maybe some bread ,just
    once in awhile. That won’t hurt you. Also, people need to QUIT drinking
    soda, diet or otherwise. It is SO bad for you.
    I am 63 yrs old and I use to have a size 8 figure. I am determined to be there
    again regardless of my age. So goodbye bread, hello new clothes.!!
