Have you watched “Superbad” or 40 Year Old Virgin?” These two classic movies show an actor that can best be described as….chubby. But if you have looked at him lately, you are probably wondering, how did Seth Rogen lose so much weight?

Rogen lost the 40 pounds slowly and by most accounts, correctly. It took him 9 months to reach his target weight.
What motivated him? Rogen claims that he realized that he needed to make a change after he struggled mightily with the altitude while filming a movie in New Mexico.
Rogan stated at the time, “I’m somebody who can barely breathe in Los Angeles, which is at sea level.”
“I can’t walk up a flight of stairs. Albuquerque is at an elevation of about two miles and the air is very thin.”
Rogen told Playboy magazine: ‘There were some big action scenes. Every day it felt as if I were climbing Everest. So the stunts were really hard, much harder than they should have been.
‘I realized if I was going to make Green Hornet, I needed to lose weight. Aside from how the character is supposed to look, I couldn’t physically make the movie in the shape I was in.’

The funnyman slimmed down to star in the comic book movie The Green Hornet, and has to cope with strangers approaching him about his weight loss. And Rogen admits not all of the comments are complimentary.

Seth Rogen has changed several bad habits and lost weight as a result.
