Do Celebs Eat Healthy?
Most women celebrities (and us common folk also) drop weight by utilizing unhealthy and unrealistic weight loss plans and eliminating favorite foods. In other words…we do dumb diets.
And who wants to cut out everything you love?
The secret is not a secret at all. You simply must change your mindset and habits and embrace a healthy lifestyle of eating the right food and exercising. However, most celebrities don’t deliver these lessons.
The message they deliver is more than often the type that influences people (especially young girls) to try unhealthy weight loss methods such as fad diets or surgery.
And while it is never a good idea to take advice from a celebrity on anything other than their acting or singing skills, their high-profile lifestyles occasionally brings an important lesson.
Here are a few famous folks who you can listen to when they discuss weight loss and exercise:
Although I am not a huge fan of her music, she does have an interesting weight loss story.
The singer struggled for many years with eating disorders and mental health issues. She finally got her weight under control (lost 30 pounds) by becoming a practitioner of The 5-Factor Diet.
She learned to eat only healthy food from five categories:
- Healthy Fats
- Low-Glycemic Carbs
- Sugarless Drinks
She avoids processed meats, all fried food, simple carbs (white rice and bread), food high in saturated fat, and sugar. She eats five times per day (2 meals and 3 snacks).
Gaga also works out 5 times a week for a minimum of 25 minutes.
The best idea you can take away from her success is “totally eliminate white flour and sugar”. That alone will make a huge difference.
One of the loudest (and I do mean loud) spokesman for healthy eating is the famed personal trainer (Biggest Loser).
She believes in lean meats, plenty of vegetables and fruits and absolutely no processed food. Sugar is a complete no-no.
Michaels encourages everyone to learn to read food labels and educate themselves on proper nutrition. She suggests packing a lunch for work each day to avoid the problem of eating out with all the unhealthy choices.
Of course, we are all familiar with the workout prowess of Jillian Michaels. Nothing more needs to be said here.
On of the most beautiful women in the world with a body that is the envy of Hollywood, the actress has struggled in the past with her weight.
That all stopped when she became a fan of The Paleo Diet.
Biel gives all the credit for her figure to the popular diet saying, “eating Paleo just leans you down and slims you up and takes that little layer of fat and water-weight right off your body.”
So, what does she eat?
Well, Paleo is a strict diet that eliminates dairy, grains, and legumes. The emphasis is on fresh food and lean meats. It is often called the “Caveman Diet” because it focuses on natural food that can be caught or gathered, not made by man.
Biel has also become a fanatic in the gym, working with a personal trainer several days a week and playing recreational sports. She enjoys mixing yoga and weight training sessions.
Lara Stone is one of the top Supermodels in existence, but she once was completely frustrated with her body and her poor eating habits. This was after the birth of her first son.
Then she turned to famed nutritionist and personal trainer James Duigan and the rest as they say is…history.
She began a diet of fresh, unprocessed food, and eliminated simple carbs and reduced the number of complex carbs she was consuming.
Although she basically eats a low carb lifestyle, all her food is natural and killers such as bread and sugar are completely eliminated.
The model also began a series of resistance training workouts which completely transformed her body.
Since her amazing body change, Stone has become vocal about proper nutrition and even wrote the forward for Duigan’s new book.
Another one of the beautiful women on this page, who believe it or not, struggled with her weight was Megan Fox.
She also turned to the 5-Factor Diet for her fat loss. She consumed five meals a day made with five ingredients that have already been listed above.
One great thing about this diet for Fox was that she was allowed on cheat day a week where she could eat anything she like.
Fox claims she loves the smoothies and eats them as much as possible.
The actress also keeps her body toned and the talk of the town by integrating weight training with Pilates, Yoga, Hiking, and other activities.
She now freely endorses the program and continues to follow its guidelines.
This lovely actress spent the early part of her career believing the Hollywood creed that she must be skinny.
However, skinny doesn’t mean healthy.
Hathaway discovered exercise for the first time while training for her portrayal of Catwoman in “The Dark Knight Rises” in 2012. She took dance classes five days a week and also trained for stunts.
She was hooked and has managed to continue regular exercise through 2020 including serious weight training.
Her diet has gone from unhealthy to all-natural food. She loves to cook, prepare, and eat her own meals. Plenty of veggies, fruits, and lean meat.
The actress did go through a period of trying to be vegan, but soon discovered that she felt weak and had little energy.
Hathaway is now the epitome of a healthy middle-aged woman who practices daily exercise and eats in a healthy manner.
This young woman who became a household name when the movie “Clueless” came out has become a major voice for healthy eating and an active lifestyle.
Silverstone wrote a book in 2011 entitled “The Kind Diet: A Simple Guide to Feeling Great, Losing Weight, and Saving the Planet”. The book urged readers to embrace a plant-based diet that was rich in whole grains. She claimed this diet was the key to losing weight, looking younger, and feeling healthy.
She then followed that up with a business launch of Kind Organics, a line of whole food supplements that are organic.
The actress claims that she feels and looks better than ever and will eat a plant based diet the rest of her life.
As far as exercise, she doesn’t follow any strict fitness regime but concentrates on being active everyday. She enjoys long walks, hiking and tending to her garden. She believes that staying active is the key to remaining health.

In general, it is not wise to take weight loss advice from a celebrity. However, these women above have found success by doing it the right way. Just remember to take the long, slow road and don’t look for shortcuts.
